More Stylistic Research

Composition techniques/Drawing styles and colour use

From my Style research I decided that I wanted to go for a more book illustrated image feeling as I think that it has a more age related aesthetic that just as digitally drawn image. Also, I think it suits the dinosaur conspiracy and the New Scientist magazine better (choice of magazine).

I like the colours and the contrast and also the use of only a few elements to create an image.

I like how the illustration is around the text, so it kind of tells the story with the story in a way. I also like the drawings and simple colours used.

I like the painting style and the colours. It sort of relates as I was thinking of doing something with aliens but changed to the Dinosaurs in space idea.

I like the Simple drawing style and block colours. It is also cool how it tells the story through the use of many panels put together on a page.

I like the dark colours because it sets the mood of the image as very dark. I also like the drawings and the shading within the characters and imagery. I think the composition is also pretty successful as the birds flying inwards makes the girls more of a focal point.

I like how the imagery is centered but has a shadow line which guides the eye out of the page. I like the colours as well as the simple imagery as well as the smaller sized composition.

I like the use of just 3 colours of black, white and blue. I think it tells the story of how god created the world pretty well.

I like the colours and the subtle line use (not too defined shapes). The pattern and simple imagery also works well. The compostion tells a story upwards.

I like the pattern the stars create with the space ships and also the colours and contrast between colours.

I like the use of warm colours and the long narrative type style of telling the story. I was thinking of possibly incorporating this in mine but was sort of stuck on how.
